Selection & Assessment Process

Every candidate goes through the same rigorous process — no exceptions.

 

Here's what we cover:

  • Skills Assessment

    Every candidate is fully tested in written English and numeracy. We evaluate verbal communication and problem-solving ability relevant to the role. Client-facing roles are held to a higher standard than back-office positions.
     

  • DISC Profile

    A full DISC behavioural profile is completed for every candidate and provided to you for review before interview.
     

  • Criminal Background Check

    All candidates are screened for a clean national criminal record — equivalent to a UK DBS check. Your intellectual property and data security are non-negotiable.
     

  • Technology & Connectivity Verification

    Minimum internet speed of 5mbps confirmed, with a screenshot provided. Full declaration of in-home equipment ensures your remote professional is set up to perform from day one.
     

  • Curation of  Your Top 3 Candidates

    Our trusted partners at HireSmart personally curate the three strongest candidates for your role, attend every interview, provide structured question guides, and give you a detailed breakdown of what each candidate brings to the table.

Training and Certification

  • Technology & readiness Review

    Before your remote professional starts, we conduct a 30-minute consultation to review your current technology setup — ensuring everything is in place and any gaps are addressed before day one.
     

  • Training Roadmap

    We provide a clear timeline of training milestones so you know exactly what to expect as your remote professional moves from certification into your own onboarding process.
     

  • KPI's & Performance Tools

    We provide our full suite of evaluation tools — daily reporting templates, performance review frameworks — and guide you through building your own KPIs and metrics from the outset.
     

  • 40-Hour Certification Programme

    Every selected candidate completes a dedicated 40-hour certification programme with HireSmart before they join you. This intensive process is the equivalent of a working interview — evaluating real performance under real conditions. Only those who meet the standard make it through.
